For sure, there is still a Generations mailing list populated with Generations users (Generations was a Windows version of Reunion from sometime in the mid-1990s, that was killed in 2000 or so). There is no reason for software to stop working on existing hardware and software, potentially forever. Some changes are big, like the Mac OS to OX-X conversion, or the death of PowerPc as a part of OS-X.
I can foresee a day when the Intel X86 architecture dies off to something more modern like the ARM processors in iPhones, but that will be years and years from now.
