I have a relative that was last known to have lived in Chicago courtesy of the 1940 census. They later died in 1957 in Ithaca, Michigan. According to their obituary, they lived there for the last 7 years or since 1950. Assuming that they stayed in Chicago from 1940 to 1950, what type of records are there available to the public that could be used to locate them?
