Date of registration

I was reviewing some birth certificates and noted details of an informant with their occupation noted at date of registration, e.g. the father may have recorded his occupation. Do people refer to this fact as a dated occupation based at the date of birth (to which most of the facts relate) or do they use this slightly later date for recording the occupation of the father?

Speaking for myself, I would treat the date of the form as the date of the information. While it may be a pointless distinction, even the date of birth would be as it was understood to be as of the date of the form.
