disappearing descendants

I have a family that shows up correctly in family view but in tree view, no descendants.

They disappear on descendant, relative, and cascading pedigree.

I'm baffled.......

Part of your question sounds as if you're referring to charts. Do you actually mean Tree View, Charts, or both?

all is well on family view and tree view

charts: descendant ok; relative and cascading pedigree have the husband greyed out and show no children for this couple

Regarding the husband being grayed out, I'm going to assume he has no ancestors in the family file.

Regarding no children, the first things that come to mind is to verify that the number of Generations down is a number larger than zero, and to verify the prune boxes are unchecked.
