Length of marriage in the marriage field in the family view

This is a feature I deeply dislike because it is liable to give false information. For example, I have a Richard (1825-1880) who married Mahala in 1839 and married again in about 1845. Yet the duration of his first marriage appears as 41 years.

This is false. I don't know for sure what the truth is - but I know this to be totally inaccurate.

There must be a way to remove this from the family card because it only occurs in one of my files; can someone point me at how to do it, please?

The display of marriage length on the family view can not be turned off. So this would be a "Wish List" item.

I agree Barnbarroch. I can think of several reasons why the length of a marriage should not be displayed all the time. Bigamous marriages, unofficial separations, underage unions and marriages, assumed marriages, marriages legal in one country but not another, arranged marriages and so on.
By all means have this an option Leister, but please not as a permanent feature.

But in one of my family files, it doesn't appear - at least I haven't managed to find it anywhere.
