Order of Facts on Couple Card Changes

I'm not sure if I can explain myself properly! In Reunion Preferences, the Family View, I have chosen the Facts to be Birth / Christening / Death / Burial / Notes, in that order. As I am adding my sources to the different fields, I find that the order on the Person card is not as I had chosen. Often, if the only date I have is Christening, or Death date say, then that is what appears first. Is there not a way to "save" the preferences so that the order remains as chosen? This also happens in the "Notes" fields, where I have created different Notes categories .. i.e. I have one for Census, Births, Deaths, Military etc. If all but one or so are empty, then the one that has something in it appears at the top. I don't want this to happen. I would prefer them to remain in the order I have them which is just alphabetical order. There must be something I can do but just not sure how? Thanks for any assistance.

I think if you go to the family view, then events, you can use your mouse to click on and move them in order to suit your needs. At least thats what I have done very similar to your wishes.

Do the fields show in the normal order on the family view, but in the edit window appear in a different order? I think I may have noticed something similar.

I have found that newly created cards keep the order, but those that I started way back before I set up the preferred view that may just have say baptism and burial will add the birth after the two that already there. So I just adjust them as I'm filling in the new information. Is yours happening with newly created cards too?

Alan, thanks for your reply. I did that in the Reunion Preferences, to set them up as I wanted them. They randomly appear changed in the edit person area. I can then drag them to the correct position from this view, but I am finding this to be a pain each time I am either entering info or linking sources.

Yes Dennis, as I explained to Alan I have found the order has changed in the edit window. It is easily fixed of course, but just a pain to have to do it each time.
            Thanks, Mary

Hi Kaye, Actually I haven't added any new people since transferring to Reunion 11. I wonder if that is the case. I may play around with it a bit today to see what happens. Thanks for your input. Mary

FWIW, this seems to be the same I'm seeing. Newly created cards have the order I want; older cards (transferred from R10 to R11) are shuffled (though I'm not sure *ALL* older cards are affected.)

Mmmmm ... so it's not just me! A small but annoying glitch!

                    Hi Mary,

I've just looked at my old R10 file and all my family view settings order is the same in the latest version.

In R11.0.1 if you go to Prefs>FamilyView>Default>Couple and select "inside couple buttons" I find you can drag the order of events in the list to the order you want. I did this in the earlier versions and they have stuck ever since.

Could it be you didn't do this?

                    This may help.
