moving family photos from person file

Over the years I have located all family photos in one of the parent's multimedia files. Can I drag the family photos out of the person file and into the family file with the marriage info?

    Many thanks.

With the multimedia window open, yes you can drag from either person to the Family Multimedia section (and vice versa), This creates a copy then, if necessary, one needs to re-click on the source, then click delete or on the - (remove) icon on the bottom toolbar.

If the family image includes the children, you can also drag the picture from the Family Multimedia section onto the specific child's button (or onto the child in list mode). Similarly an image can be dragged to either of parents. These last two options only work in the reverse direction for the preferred picture (if any).

Note : From my experience, any "Treat as Document" settings are NOT retained when using this method e.g. with Census images.

Thank you, Peter. Got it. However, I notice that I cannot choose a "preferred photo" for the couple. Wouldn't it be nice if we could have a marriage photo or full family photo next to the marriage info?

      I appreciate your help.
