I use two different databases regularly. One opens in Reunion 11 with the sidebar showing, and the other with no sidebar. Then I open the index list panel. I'd like for all my databases to open with NO sidebar (I only use it when it's the only choice for a particular list, such as Islands and Treetops). And is there any way to have the database open with the index list as well as the Family View? Thank you!

Re: startup view
As far as I know, the sidebar remains in whatever state it was when you closed the file. The only exception to this that I know of is if you have selected the Preferences-->Startup option to Show Reminders in the Sidebar. If you have selected this option then the sidebar will always be opened when you start up Reunion.
You can open or close the sidebar at any time by clicking the double arrows at the top right of the center panel. Likewise you can expand or contract the left sidebar (icons or icons with words) using the double arrows at the top left of the center panel.

I did some experimenting, and found that collapsing the Navbar led to this behavior. If I collapse the Sidebar and open the Navbar, the database will open the next time with this same configuration. But, if I collapse the Navbar, the database will always open with the Sidebar open. I don't particularly like that feature, but at least I now know how to keep the sidebar from showing up.
Thanks for your help.
