Dumb question - how to put documents in Reunion records

Sorry but I just cannot seem to figure this out or understand the guidance. I want to import documents and attach them to an individual's record - like: BMD certificates, census docs, etc. These can be in form of pdf's, photo formats or MS Word.

Where can I find instruction on how to do this? To attach the document to the event (such as a marriage) or to share the document among multiple people - e.g. people in the same household in a census document.

Apologies for the dumb question, but am an unsophisticated Reunion user not familiar with all the features and terminology.

In the Reunion Manual, check the instruction for the "Source Window" and it will tell you how to add a document in the subtopic "Multimedia in Source Records". It's just a simple process to add it to an existing source. But that's the trick--you have to craft a new source describing that document you're adding.

Say I have this source:
2821. “Everett Ritchie Death Certificate,” 19 Jan 1919, Cordia, Knott, KY, certificate #2694, Bureau of Vital Statistics, State Board of Health, Commonwealth of Kentucky, online at Ancestry.com, Kentucky Death Records, 1852–1953.
Here's a screenshot of how it looks after I attach the actual image of the Death Certificate to the source listing:

To attach an item to a person, you can just drag and drop the item (drag the item from the Finder and drop it on a person's button). There are other methods too.

Multimedia items can be added to people, families, and source records (as Dona Ritchie has illustrated above).

Ooh, I hadn't even thought about attaching them to Sources too… I drag/drop photos/docs into the multimedia area all the time since that's been added, but for vital record and other more, well, vital docs, I think I'll add them to the Sources fields too.

Something else cool with the upgrade is that you can drag, say, a photo from findagrave's website directly onto the person's bubble in Reunion and it'll copy it to their multimedia window. I then go credit it, rename and move the file as my stuff is organized a bit tighter (it puts them into a default folder in the Reunion Pictures folder), but Reunion has almost always been able to keep track of the move automatically (I've done this a LOT, so it's possible it's missed something, though that, too, is easy to find and resolve)

Attaching multimedia files to sources does not work well for those of us who use broad source citations (like 1940 Census or Death Certificate) and then put citation specifics in the source detail field. It would be nice if the multimedia file could be attached to either the source or the detail part of the citation. Another one for the wish list.
