Is there a way to pre-populate the fields in Sources so that the same information does not have to be entered for every source, e.g "US Federal Census" or "Film Number" "Page" "Image Number" etc that do not seem to be part of the citation when displayed in toto.

Thank you in advance for any suggestions.

For recurring items like this, I use a clipboard manager program that can "permanently" store items for later pasting. I use iClipboard (http://www.chronosnet.com/Products/iclipboard.html) but there are several good clipboard managers available. When an item is needed, it is a quick 2-3 seconds to choose from a popup menu living up in the task bar.

Right-Click on the Source you want to 'clone' and then choose 'Duplicate Source'; then just edit anything that needs changing, e.g. the Source Title.

Just so, or simply use Cmd-D. But Deborah, please explain:
that do not seem to be part of the citation when displayed in toto.
