    Unused Person Numbers

Is there a way to see a list of unused person numbers? I seem to have a lot of recent additions with "younger" numbers than expected. Database contains about 5200 people but some new entries have person IDs that put them in the middle of the pack rather than at the end where I expect them. I'd like to know how many more empty person numbers I have. Thanks.

You can find this out by getting the index sorted by ID number and finding out the largest number, and then subtracting from it the number of entries in the index.

Have you recently deleted some people, or merged some people together?

      Re: Unused Person Numbers

Hi Roger, yes I have deleted quite a few people in the last year, and added many, many more. What I was hoping to find was a list of ONLY the unused person numbers still out there without having to scroll through the list of numbers looking for that elusive needle in a haystack. There might still be one or two, or maybe I've already used them up. Simply a matter of curiosity for me, not anything urgent.

I did make a list in the list window containing person id, user id, last name, first/middle names and am using it to help with adding user id numbers (I got lazy and stopped adding them 700+ people ago). As I added user id numbers this week to some of the junior entries I began noticing some of them had very senior person id numbers, which is what got me interested in trying to find a list of only the unused (or available) person id numbers.

      Thanks for your speedy reply.
