Moving people from one tree to another?

Is there a quick way of moving/copying people from one family file to another - I have tried drag and drop but it does not work
I know I can do it by exporting marked people via gedcom but this is a bit time consuming.
Any short cuts would be appreciated.

You would do better by simply importing Marked People from another file rather than exporting the marked people to a GEDCOM file and then importing the GEDCOM file.
