ReunionBook - the more I think about this!

The ReunionBook capability is a real good at producing documents for an individual family.

Off and on for the past several weeks I have been trying to use this capability to produce a similar quality document for multiple tree-tops (a report that could represent the people in a fan chart for example.)

Every time I think that I have a software or manual solution, I end up with issues with the page numbers, or multiple, overlapping source lists, or multiple People and Place Indexes. The things that I like in ReunionBook only work for a single tree-top.

Am I missing something here? Has anyone heard of Leister expanding ReunionBook?

I really like the People and Place Indexes, but they cannot be exported and even if they could they would not express the correct page numbers if you use any other software (MSWord for example).

I export each treetop (family line) as it's own Register Report and use that to construct a "chapter" of my book. I export to MS Word, then import into InDesign for pasteup and to add photos. I "print out" to a PDF. Then I assemble all the PDF chapters into a single PDF file and upload to lulu.com for printing. For families where I don't have much collateral research, I use Ahnentafel reports for their chapters.

I don't even attempt to number the pages in the entire book. I rely on the person number indexing the Register report does so each chapter has its own index and source list. It's not ideal - but it isn't too hard to find someone if you know the person number. It also simplifies my Table of Contents to just a page listing the names of each chapter.
