    Conflicting Family Files

This morning, when attempting to open Reunion, got a window saying I have multiple copies of my family file. Two copies: both on my iMac, both 19 hours ago, and information is exactly the same. How can this even be possible? Is it safe to choose either one? I don't understand how this can even happen!!!

Dropbox will create duplicates of files (calling one a "conflicted copy") in certain situations. You can read about it here:

What is a "conflicted copy" file in Dropbox? Discover the answer to this question as well as three ways a conflicted copy can happen.

Is it safe to choose either one?
Unfortunately, I can't answer that question. You will need to use your best judgement to decide which of the two files you want to keep.

I don't understand how this can even happen!!!
In addition to the explanation in the above Dropbox help article, you can find more information on this issue by searching "conflict" (no quotes) in the Manual (Help -> Contents) and reading the entry titled "Resolving Conflicts". You may also want to read the section titled "Guidelines for Using Dropbox with Reunion" (scroll up after opening the "Resolving Conflicts" entry) for details on how to avoid this situation in the future.

Thank you, Mark. Since both "conflicted files" show identical information, I'm trusting that they are identical. Wish me luck! Thankfully, I have backups just in case!!!
