    What’s the Difference?

    When entering birthdates and the feasibility checker notes an error you are prompted with “Ignore or Close” What’s the difference?

    When clearing the clipboard the options are “Delete all people on the clipboard or Clear…”
    What’s the difference?

    Is it possible to “Delete this family record…” and just have it go away without then having to then clear the individuals from the clipboard? Maybe holding down the Option key when selecting the “Delete this …” would make the two steps into one operation.

    Just a note: In one of my other questions to the forum all the people who responded had been with the forum since 2005, which says a lot about the product and the people who have been using it for over a decade.

    Ignore will tell Reunion not to notify you of the warning again, while Close just closes the warning. You can find more details by clicking the ? at the bottom-left of the warning window.

    There are two types of entries in the Clipboard, linked (indicated by a chain link icon) and unlinked entries. "Delete all people..." removes all unlinked entries (leaving the linked entries) while "Clear..." removes both linked and unlinked entries (completely clearing the Clipboard). More details can be found in the manual -- open the Clipboard sidebar, then select:

    Help -> Sidebar: Clipboard

    No - the entries have to be moved to the Clipboard as they are no longer linked to a family record (at least, in the case of entries that become completely unlinked as a result of deleting the record).

    I hope this information is helpful,
