    Picture identification in Web Project

    Bonjour,
When I started to add pictures in my family database, I had no idea I would publish it on the web. Unfortunately, I put the descriptions in the Field Comments. I am stuck with the files names in the Description field ;-(((. Is it possible to change this in batch?

I hope Mark will follow Barack Obama and say "Yes we can" because I have a few hundred pictures and I would not like to erase the file names one by one.

    Merci!

Automator (in the Mac Applications folder) may be the way to go. I went to YouTube and searched for 'Mac automator photos' and found lots of video tutorials on writing scripts. This one gives you the basics of how to rename files sequentially in the Finder, but it's not exactly what your want. See https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DE6qu9Gmhfg. You may have to make your own script. I don't know if Reunion is scriptable. Mark?

Merci beaucoup Lawrence! On november 18 2008, Tom Robinson wrote : " Reunion doesn't support AppleScript or Automator, that's one for the wish list forum--though as I said recently in another posting us programmers are a minority of Reunion users so it's not high on Leister's list." I referred your & Tom's answers to my friend and "guru" Mac, Jean-Luc Verville, who found a simple [ for him ;-)) solution ]. He edited the photo description right in the project. Eureka ! the file's name disappeared in the Description field leaving my descriptions in the Comments field. Ouf! my Web Project will soon be on line.
