    nominate the family file

    Hi
I use Reunion 11 along with Reunion Touch. I have my Family File saved in Dropbox.

Most times, not every time, when I open Reunion / Touch I am required to nominate the family file and its location. This has never happened in previous versions.

    Can this issue be overcome?

Please describe this in a bit more detail. E.g., do you mean that you have to tap on it in the "Welcome to ReunionTouch" screen in order to open it? Or do you mean something else?

    Thanks,

      Re: nominate the family file

      Hi Mark
In Reunion 11 when I open the program (9 times out of 10) I have to find and nominate the file to be opened. Once (not the first time) I had to re-enter both version 10 and version 11 keys before I could use it. My preferences are set to the relevant Dropbox folder but I still have to nominate the file, is this normal?

In Reunion touch I have to tap on the version 11 family file for it to open.

      Cheers

First, please ensure that "Open the most recent family file" is checked in:

        Reunion -> Preferences... , Startup

Note that you'll need to open a family file in order to access the preferences. If that is checked, please ensure that you completely exit Reunion 11 (via Reunion -> Quit Reunion, or by pressing Command+Q) when you're done working on your file.

Once (not the first time) I had to re-enter both version 10 and version 11 keys before I could use it.
Did you run a "cleaning" application such as MacKeeper or CleanMyMac? If so, please see this FAQ.

In Reunion touch I have to tap on the version 11 family file for it to open.
This is the result of how iOS is designed. iOS stores the state of the application, but will clear that state in certain situations (e.g. if RAM is needed for another app). If that happens, you'll have to select the family file you want to open when you open the app. Unfortunately there's nothing that can be done here.

          Thanks Mark

I appreciate the advice on Clean My Mac also, which I use regularly.

What is meant by advice on Clean My Mac? Don't see any reference in this post..
