Using the Clipboard to Move a Child

I recall in version 9 when a child was moved from family A to family B, you were asked if you want to copy or move to the new family. Now I find that's not happening. When I drag the child from family A to clipboard then to family B, I've ended up in some cases with them attached to both families. Reading Help, this seems to be the correct procedure, is it not????

Reunion asks "move or duplicate" only for people not in the clipboard. So if you're dragging from the People list, Reunion will ask you this. There's no need for it to ask if you want to duplicate it if the person is in the clipboard, since it would be the only copy of the person in the file when you move it, not a second (duplicate) copy.

If you drag the child from family A to the clipboard, it should no longer be attached to the original family. I'm not sure why you got that result, but you might have done something you forgot later, like drag it back....

So, anyway, to answer your question, you can move a child from family A to family B in at least these two ways:
[1] drag the child from the child area of family A to the clipboard, then switch to family B and drag the child from the clipboard to the child area of family B. Answer "Yes" when asked if you want to add the child.
[2] find the child in the "People" sidebar list, and drag it to the child area of family B. When asked "Cancel, Move, or Duplicate?", answer "Move".
