    Relative with a Windows Box - Recommendations?

    A relative (with a windoze box) wants to start on her genealogy.

    I hear that FTM is going away.

    Is rootsmagic what folks recommend now?

    This is someone who definitely does - not - want a copy of her tree uploaded to the "cloud".

    She wants to be able to import my export from reunion 11.

    Extra question: Is there a good OSX emulator available now for windows? So she could run reunion on her windows box?

    Hi Mac,

    Have her go to http://www.legacyfamilytree.com and try their free version of Legacy Family Tree software. I have it on a Windows emulator on my Mac and find it takes GEDCOM files. I love their website and their free weekly webinars on all kinds of genealogy subjects, not just for Legacy.
