Chart question....

I just looked through the threads on printing charts and I really didn't see anything that fit my question....

I want to print a chart (maybe 10 pages max) that looks like the hourglass chart (or even the pedigree layout) I see in Tree View. In Tree View though I am limited to 1 page and the print is too small. I just like the way the charts look in Tree View as opposed to ones that I create using Reports.

I like the simplicity of the lines that connect families. See screenshots. The first one is the one I like and the second one is the one I don't like.

Is there a way to create a chart that isn't limited to one page? Thanks, Judy

The way that I deal with this is to create a pedigree chart and a descendant chart, then copy and paste one into the other. The editing capabilities in the chart module are robust enough to make this a fairly reasonable workaround.

I've never tried this, but have you choosing Preview-Print in the Share Tree. When I tried, it opens in Adobe Reader. When I choose print, if I choose 'POSTER' under 'paper and sizing and handling' it appears that it will print on 12 pages for the family I chose. I imagine that will vary depending on the tree you want to print.

I don't Adobe Acrobat and I couldn't find a setting for Poster either in Preview or PDFPen Pro.

Still playing around with it but so far, I'm not liking what I end up with. Thanks for the ideas though... Judy
