    Framing Picture on Charts

I raised this issue for an earlier Reunion version and learnt how to solve it for version 10 and earlier, but it is clear that Version 11 is not quite right.

For Charts of people who lived before there were photographs, it can brighten things up a bit to insert coats of arms. I append one of these. I use a ping file as it can handle the outline shape of a shield. These can be used in Reunion as Multimedia and designated as the preferred picture.

So my database has many of these PING files. But when I create a chart with the preferred pictures, these shields appear in the Reunion 11 chart with a square around them. In Reunion 10 and earlier it was possible to select all the chart boxes and then select the option for Frame and then set that to 'None' and the shields were nicely displayed on top of the background colour; this does not happen in Reunion 11.

But if I delete the image from the chart and then load it in direct from a Mac folder, the shield can be made to be shield shaped with no trouble by setting Frame to None.

So nothing is wrong with the Chart facility and it must be Reunion that does something to the Multimedia files before or when they are transferred out to make a Chart.

Can the old behaviour be restored in Reunion, please?

    regards,
