    Fitting in the details...

Hi all-Happy Father's Day to all fathers out there!

I have a 13" MacBookPro. I am trying to set the Preferences so that I can view as much information as I can on the Parents and Couple buttons. I would like to see at a glance what information I have. Right now I have them set to show Alias/AKA, Relationship, Birth Event, Alt Birth Event, Baptism, Christen, Death Event, Alt Death Event, Burial Event, Checked Flag Names and Changed Date/Person ID.

If there are empty fields I have it checked so that they aren't displayed.

What I am finding is that even though all the events aren't entered and there are empty fields the Parent button in particular is very large so that I don't see all the information for the Couple button. See screenshot.

Is there some setting I am missing to adjust the size of the Parent button so that if there are many empty fields, the button isn't so large?

Also, those of you out there with 13" MBP, how do you have your Family Views setup so that you like it and you can view what you want? Looking for ideas.

    Thank you, Judy

The windows do not automatically collapse down to the size of the viewable information. The fields with no data are still there; all you are doing is turning off display when there is no data. It's the same as putting something in front of your eye during an eye test. e.g. Just cuz you can't see things with your covered eye, it doesn't mean that the things aren't still there.
