MS Word, Reunion 9, OS Sierra (10.12.5)

Hello.
I cannot run reports into MS Word. When I open Preferences / Reports, there is no word processor option, only an RTF line where you select the font, include page number, and create .rtfd files when needed.
Is there something else I need to set?

Yes. The word processor used with Reunion 9 is set in the Application Preferences window. I.e., choose Reunion > Preferences / Applications and click on the Word Processor tab. Then, use the Word Processor menu to select MS Word as your word processor.
