How Obtain Interesting Statistics

I would love to put together an Interesting Facts List for a Marked Set of folks to hand out at a reunion.
For example,

Jane and John had 15 children
They had X grandchildren
They had Y great grandchildren
Etc.

Average life span

etc. etc.

I know I can create separate sorts and reports and come up with some answers but ti would be nice to have a general purpose utility.

Any thoughts or suggestions.
