Dropbox, family file location

There was a previous thread with the same Title, but is now in Archives.

It was suggested that we should locate our family file in the Dropbox Folder, so that it is in the correct location for syncronizing.

My questions 1) .. should we keep all our image files in a folder in the Dropbox Folder too?
2) will reunion be able to ind these image files in their new location?

Hi Bill

I have kept my Reunion files in Dropbox for some time now.

Within Dropbox, I have a folder named "Reunion Files".

Within that folder are the folders: "Charts", "Gedcoms", "Media", and "Reports"

My multiple family files are there as well but not in any specific folder.

When I add images, I manually copy and paste them into the "Media" folder. Reunion has always been able to locate them.

No problems or issues thus far (that I'm aware of).

So far as I am aware there is no need to keep anything other than the familyfile in your dropbox folder and, if you are space-constrained with your dropbox account you can safely keep media in a default folder under ~Users
