Search condition for the word 'circa'

I use the word 'circa' in my date fields, sources and memo fields. I want to search for all the people who have a field that contains the word 'circa'.

I tried this:
In Find -> Look for … -> I set for Condition 'Any field' Contains 'circa'.
The problem is that I do not get any results from the query.

Can anyone tells me what I am doing wrong?

* Another question. Is it better to use ABT instead of ' circa' ?

The Find Results concern the Person- or Family Fields, not the Sourcefields.
Perhaps you try to find in the Couples tab ?
I have no problems with finding circa.

I think my field is not searchable.

When I have, for example, a person with multiple sources with different death date, I type the death date in the detail field of the Source Citation.

Maybe it is totally the wrong way to register different death dates. What is best practice?

- multiple death dates with one source per date
- one death date with multiple sources that hold different date.

For example. One source writes a death date of 'circa 1815' while another source writes a death date of june 10, 1816.

The detail field is for a detail.
When you have a book, then the book is the source and the detail the page number.
Think this is the wrong way for entering multiple death dates.

You can use both. The only thing is: be consequent in your familyfile.
When you have a proven death date, I ignore the other (although I mention this in my Notefield)

I believe that most people (including myself) who are documenting multiple death dates are doing so with multiple death events, as you have chosen to do.

This is what I do for any event where I have multiple sources for different information.

The detail field is for a detail.

For me, one of the most important uses for the Detail field for Source Citations is giving the date I extracted information from a web site. Unlike books, web sites change. Recording the date the site was viewed helps me understand discrepancies when discovering later that the person responsible for the site updated the information I cited.

I also use the Detail field for information about the person or event when it does not seem to be appropriate for the Memo field. For example, I may have as many as 20 sources for a Name showing in the Person Edit View (I never delete a source even when its blatantly wrong

Good examples. Now I understand that the detail field is the only variable of the source. This makes that the source can be used several times, each time with other information.
