    Multiple Parents

Is there any outwardly visible indicator on the family card that shows that someone has multiple parents recorded? In Reunion 9, there were tiny arrows at the top that indicated such and let you select from them. As far as I can find, there is no visual indication on the family card in 10; you have to click on the Pop-up Person arrow and mouse down to the parents arrow to then see if there's more than one set of parents listed.

I hope that I'm missing seeing something!

The little arrow at the top right of the parents' boxes goes red when there are multiple parents - see Angla in the image below.

Caveat : that little arrow shows as red for all the children, not just the child with multiple parents.

Yeah I guess I misinterpreted that - it's indicating multiple spouses of the person, not multiple parents for the child.

So, the question remains: How can you tell if a person has multiple parents by looking at the family view screen? The little arrows at the top in v9 indicated that, but now you would have to click and mouse down to check.

I don't know if this helps or not. If you just let the pointer hover over the father or mother name locale, an information bubble pops up and includes whether or not there are multiple spouses.

That fact is already established by the triangle being red, but as I noted a few posts above, this isn't an indication that the person in the "person" part of the screen had multiple parents, but that the "person" in the parents position had multiple spouses. These are NOT the same thing.

I can find no indication of the Reunion 9 functionality as shown in this screen shot.

That small triangle (why are they so small?) in the top right corner of a person's name - if you click on that triangle, you get a list of choices: 1. Spouses & Children, 2. Siblings, 3. Parents, there are more choices but if you have multiple parents for a person - sliding down to choice #3 - Parents - will show you both sets of parents. Just looking at the screen won't tell you - but using the triangle will bring up the info you want - and you can toggle between the parents as necessary. Hope that helps. ~Lily

Attached is a screen shot of the quick and simple indication of multiple parents that was in R9 (double arrows at top left), which both Martha and I miss.

Yes, you could click and toggle, but the beauty of having the little arrows visible by "just looking at the screen" meant that you didn't have to guess if there were multiple parents recorded, you could tell by looking.

I hope this feature has not been permanently removed from the program.
