LDS Temple Codes

I must have done something wrong when I started up R10, but I don't seem to be able to access the LDS Temple Code list.

I went to the Manual and it says: Inside the Home/Library/Application Support/Reunion folder you will notice a file called "LDS Temples."

The trouble is, I don't have a Reunion folder inside my Application Support folder. Lots of other things there, but no Reunion folder.

My, this is embarrassing! Where did it go?

There are two Library folders in MacOS. One is the root Library, which is for the whole machine. The other is your User Library, which only applies to the User logged in. Open up your user folder by clicking on the icon labeled "warrenwhite". There will be another Library folder there.

In MacOS, "Home/" refers to the user folder. The root library is called "/Library".

Unfortunately, LION hides the folder you're looking for.

The secret is to jump into the Finder, then hold down the Option key and choose Go -> Library. (The "Library" item only appears in the Go menu when holding down the Option key.)

Warren, In Lion, the Home/Library is hidden. When in "Finder" option/click on the Go Menu and half way down the drop down menu should be your hidden Library. Apple hid the Home/Library because too many users were messing up their Applications and/or OS.

Thank you very much! That does indeed reveal the file I needed.

Frank, shouldn't this be covered in the manual? It would help folks like me who don't know about these hidden things.
