    Clean up after RM4 GEDCOM Import

    I'm new to Reunion and used RM4 prior. I imported my data via GEDCOM and need to clean up my Events, facts & sources.

    1)Under Events, I have for example *NEW[_TODO] and *NEW[OCCU] (This is from RM4)

    In Reunion under Facts is Occupation, so how do I move the data under *NEW[OCCU] to the Events field in Reunion without re-entering the data?

    2) In my sources, most things seem to be in free-form text and the source fields have repeated information. Also, there are these fields added in from RM4:

    *NEW[_SUBQ]
    *NEW[_BIBL]
    *NEW[_TMPLT]

    the data in these fields needs to be moved into the correct field in Reunion without re-entering the data again.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated,

    Rhonda

    You can move this data using:

    Reunion -> Preferences... Fields, Move

    Also, you can rename the "*NEW[_TODO]" field under "Person" (also in Field Preferences) by double-clicking it's entry in the list on the left.

    Unfortunately the Move feature won't work for source fields. What you'll have to do is go into:

    Reunion -> Preferences... , Sources, Fields

    And rename these entries in the list of Source Fields by double-clicking on them. If a field with the same name (whatever the appropriate names for these fields are) already exists, locate that field and delete it (making sure, of course, that it wasn't used in any source first).
