GEDCOM - exporting

I am trying to export the descendants of a certain individual to a GEDCOM. The way I do it is to have a flag for that family, and when I want to export, I mark all individuals with that flag and then do the export with marked families and spouses selected. I am finding (at least) one individual is not coming across in the export even though they are marked.

Any ideas?

I think I figured out my own problem. The privacy filtering under preferences was set to exclude anyone before 1800. I have changed it to 1903, although it reverted a couple of times. Will have to keep an eye on it.
