I'm redoing my sources as part of the Practical Citations course with Ben Sayer and another person bought up the topic of email addresses and privacy in sources.
I hadn't considered it much prior to this as I don't swap gedcoms with people, usually. I have some email sources where I've recorded the email addresses of my contact . Mostly these people don't appear in my tree so I haven't added them to my contacts list. I WISH to have that info in my Reunion file for ME to see but not to appear in reports or be sent to others IF I send a gedcom.
I've read the manual, am I right in understanding that the privacy deliminators only work in notes and/or memo fields and am I correct in presuming that the freeform text section in sources doesn't qualify?
Can anyone offer any suggestions that would work or will I need to remove these email addresses from my sources to ensure they stay private.
Thanks
Sue
