Editing name file

For unknown surnames of wives I have always entered [Unknown], so it is easy to just type the left bracket [ to enter this information, some how I have an entry which lacks the closing bracket ], so now when I type [ there are two listings in the popup menu:

[Unknown
[Unknown]

I would like to delete the first entry. I have used the find command with these options:

Last name starts with: [
and
Last name doesn't contain: ]

There are no entries found.

So how do I resolve this problem?

You want to rebuild the autocomplete name list. If you search the manual for "Removing Mistakes and Bad Entries from Autocomplete" it gives these detailed instructions on how to do it:

To "cleanse" the last names...

Begin typing a name into the Last Name field.
The autocomplete drop-down list appears.
You'll notice an item at the bottom of the list called Rebuild last name list.
Select that item to create a new, updated list of last names for the autocomplete feature.
