Why do some person events have a * and say "New"?

I can't seem to find any mention of this in the Help Menu. Thanks to all in advance.

These are events that came from an imported GEDCOM; Reunion didn't recognize the GEDCOM tag so it gives the fields the name *NEW [XXXX]", where XXXX is the GEDCOM tag that was used.

You can rename these fields in:

Reunion -> Preferences... , Fields, Person, Events

By double-clicking on them in the left-most list to edit the name.
