      that's expected behavior. Note fields consist of text; you can place text there by typing it or cutting and pasting it. You can't paste pictures or files into a text field.

      If you have pictures or pdf files, you should add them to a person or family's multimedia window.

Looking at reunion 9: There's a bar of icons and words across the top of the window (in order: Back, forward, home, index, manual, view, multimedia, etc.). If you click on the "multimedia" icon (looks like a strip of 35 mm movie film) it will open a multimedia window for the family card you're currently viewing. You can also use the menus (edit -> multimedia...).

          If you search the manual for "multimedia" you'll see lots more information.
