Re: Multiple Spouses in Tree View
Down in the lower right, look for a gear that has the word "hourglass" next to it. To the right of "hourglass," there is a number up and a number down. These numbers determine the number of generations showing on your tree view. You may have one set to zero. To revise the numbers, click on the gear and make your changes in the resulting dialog box.Bob White, Mac Nut Since 1985, Reunion Nut Since 1991

Re: Multiple Spouses in Tree View
Thanks Bob, I know about the function you speak abut ad i have it set at the maximum possible, but that was not my question! I was querying te fact that multiple spouses and the children by all spouses were not shown at the same time in tree view but you have to switch between spouses to see the descendants by any particular spouse. But thanks anyway.Andrew Allsop

Re: Multiple Spouses in Tree View
Must be something else in the settings. My biological father and two of his brothers have several marriages and children by multiple wives. In tree view, all of the children and grandchildren are displaying. Is that what you are looking for? Or am I still not understanding?Bob White, Mac Nut Since 1985, Reunion Nut Since 1991

Re: Multiple Spouses in Tree View
Andrew is referring only to the "source couple" in the Tree view. As I pointed out here...
...multiple spouses of the source couple are not included in the tree view; thus, children of other spouses of the source husband and wife are not included in the tree view.Frank Leister

I see the point here. However, when I do this in order to show the multiple spouses of Person A, I get a tree that's very wide as all the siblings of Person A and their wives and descendants also appear. Is there a way to separate the tree of Person A who has multiple spouses without showing the other offsprings of the source couple (parents)?
Thanks.

You can mark people in your family file you want included in the chart, and then then create the chart with the Prune: Marked [people] only. Or you can just make the chart and then in the chart editor delete the boxes you don't want.
