    Privacy & Photo file name

All of my multimedia files have the names of the subject as the file name. So when I produce a web card the first names of the individual are not shown when subject to privacy but then the file name gives the game away if there is a photograph. No privacy - I can't see a way around it.
    What can I do?
Using Reunion 10 on an imac.
    Regards

I suggest you use the Person ID number. It never changes and is easily found in your media file as the file will be in numerical order. If you have multiple images for a person, you would give nothing away by saying such as : #02345 JM on a horse; #02345 JM on porch, etc. More at www.genealogyhowto.com

Thank you Charles. I was hoping for an easier solution - but it appears I will be changing a few thousand file names.

Well sadly the renaming won't be the issue - there are things like "A Better Finder Rename" that could do this for you - but you have to relink them all in Reunion as soon as you've changed the file name - that will be the painful part!!

I guess I'd be thinking really hard about just what is really being given away by your current situation.

This is not true in Reunion 10.

            I'd forgotten about that.

How is Reunion 10 tracking the images if not by filename?

The same way an alias is tracked by the OS.
