merging multiple people

I am attempting to help a new Reunion user who is not very computer literate; as a result there is a lot of duplication in her family file; most of this I have been able to resolve with merging.

When I do a Relative Chart, some of the remaining problems show up as:

John Doe B D

next box over is John Doe B D M spouse(preferred)

next box over is spouse #2

any ideas a)what we are doing wrong? and b)how to undo it?

Are you sure there are actually duplicates? You shouldn't judge this from a relative chart, because even a non-duplicated person will show up multiple times on that chart if they have multiple spouses.

You should look to see if someone is duplicated in the index, not on any chart. Or look for duplicate people using Match & Merge.
