Change individuals to correct husband and wife

Somehow I have managed to mix up two different families in my database. The problem is the men have the same name (except for middle name) and the same birth year and death year. Is there an easy way of changing the men to the correct wife and children? One family has 15 children and the other has 7 children.

I have printed the two group sheets so I can keep track of the names. Will the children follow the husband or the wife?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Yes.

The change can be made by opening your family file to the one family. Then, drag and drop the husband's name onto "Clipboard" in the left column.

Next, open your family file to the other family and drag that husband's name onto "Clipboard" in the left column.

Then, while you are still on that family view, open the Clipboard sidebar on the right. Then, drag and drop the correct husband onto the husband's side of the family view (i.e., most likely the light blue name button).

And, finally, go back to the first family and add the correct husband to his wife by dragging and dropping his name from the Clipboard sidebar onto the appropriate name button.

Additional information about using the Clipboard to correct mistakes can be found in your manual by searching for "correct mistake using clipboard." To access the manual, open Reunion and choose Help -> Contents or click on the "?" in the lower-left corner of just about any Reunion window.
