    Missing note text

I have one person in my family file for whom I cannot get any text to stay in the misc. note field. I type text in and it just disappears when I click on done. When I go back into the misc. note field there is nothing there so it is not that my font matches the background cover.
If I create another note field, e.g. "new note" everything works normally.

Any ideas on what I could be doing wrong?

    Thanks, Mick

    Are you using 10.0.5 ?
Leister fixed a problem (from the release notes):

I was not using 10.0.5 so I updated today. Unfortunately I still have the same problem.

I have had this problem several times. The only solution I found was to delete the person and rebuild them.

I have this problem with just one person. This person recently died. I added the death and burial field data without incident. But the Notes field won't accept anything. It doesn't give any kind of error message.

That has happened to me once in a while...especially if I'm pasting in a note from elsewhere. I found that I could...copy anything I had in the note, delete the Misc. Notes field and then add in a new Misc. Notes field, paste in the text and everything worked okay. Hasn't happened since I upgraded...yet!

Did you reboot your Mac after updating to 10.0.5? Sometimes that helps.

I did reboot but it didn't help.

Rebuild the cache files - it worked for me. Within Reunion click on the File > Rebuild Cache Files...

                  Hope this helps!

Double-check and make sure 10.0.5 is installed by selecting:

                      Reunion -> About Reunion

Then, delete the note field that won't save and add a new one to replace it. You may need to add the new note field first, in order to get the option to delete the existing one. Finally, enter the text into the newly added note field and see if it saves.

If that doesn't work, please e-mail us your family file (help@leisterpro.com) with details on one of the entries that the note field won't save for (e.g. name, birth date, etc.).

                      Thanks!

                        Re: Missing note text

Deleting the Misc. Notes and adding a new Misc. Notes worked. The text is now saved.

                        Thanks for your help.
