Are there keyboard delimiters for use in the People List? I'm not talking about the Find function, but, rather, the ability to reduce the People List to just, say, Gold instead of it showing Gold, Golden, Goldey, Goldsmith, and anything else starting with Gold.

Re: Using People Search Delimiters
The only way I know of getting a list with the last name you want is to use the "Find" button. For instance, I have a preset in Find that has conditions set up for Stroop:
Last Name > Contains > Stroop
and
Last Name > Doesn't Contain > Stroops
to separate the two families.
You would have to put in a condition for each of the surnames you don't want, but, once set up as a preset, you wouldn't have to do it again. You can also add other names as they may come up.Attached FilesLast edited by kmgenealogy; 03 March 2013, 11:21 PM.Kaye Mushalik

Re: Using People Search Delimiters
Thanks for the suggestions. I'm a heavy user of the People List, primarily so that I don't duplicate names of those I already have. I use it to scan all new entries. While it's current set-up is useful to scan for, say Curtis vs. Curtiss where there could be an obvious overlap, it's cumbersome when I know that overlap doesn't exist as in my previous example. Using the Find feature is too slow--verry slow--for my purposes in this initial entry phase.
