    Minor issues with R10

    Greetings,

I have two issues with the Find feature:

    1) Using the "Unlinked People" find preset brings up a single result: a person that's not even in my file anymore (in fact, double-clicking that person in the results panel brings up an entirely different person page). I assume there's something weird with my database (could have happened in an app crash, awhile back)

    2) I created a new find preset (Match & Merge, Is Not, <blank>) to find people with match & merge notes. It works fine but as soon as I leave the Find tab my preset reverts back to (Misc. Notes, Is Not, <blank>)

It sounds like there is a problem in your family file. However, we can most likely fix it using an in-house tool. I recommend that you compress (or zip) your family file and send it to us at <help@leisterpro.com>, along with a note reminding us of the problem.

Note: the default location for a Reunion 10 family file is in your Home/Documents/Reunion Files folder.

Be sure to not do anything in that family file until you hear back from us.

It sounds like the new Preset is being created before the Conditions are adjusted. Please try it in this order...

    1. Select Find in the Navbar.

    2. Select the Conditions you want for the search.

    3. Then, click the Add button "+" (under the Presets list) to create your new preset.

    4. Enter a name for your new preset and press "enter," "return," or "enter/return" on your keyboard.

    5. Reunion should now remember your newly added preset the next time you want to use it.

I hope you find this information helpful:-)

Thanks Deb for the instructions to resolve the Preset issue. I followed them and it worked.

I'll be sending my zipped file to help@leisterpro.com in the next few minutes.
