Family with no spouses

Somehow, in the places sidebar, one of my places now lists a marriage event showing 'Family with no spouses'.

I have searched the manual and ReunionTalk, but can find no information. How can I identify and remove this family?

OK, got the answer.

File > Rebuild Cache Files...

I should have tried it before posting - it seems to be the answer to several problems.
