    Obituary Report

While creating an obituary report for a lady who passed away earlier in the month, Reunion stated that she was "preceded in death" by two of her children who are still alive? No reference that she was survived by them.

I checked another database and that error does not reproduce itself there.

I do not know why that error appears to just my larger database or not the other ones.

    Re: Obituary Report

I occasionally get nonsensical error messages from the feasibility checking when doing things in Reunion - I can never repeat them, and never predict when they're going to occur. It's not very common, but there is absolutely nothing amiss with the data that is being complained about.

This has been the situation for quite some number of years.

      Re: Obituary Report

This is one for the Leister staff. However, I would make a guess that it has something to do with the way dates were entered (e.g. Whether the year was entered as two digits or four digits) in conjunction with the programming code to produce these obits.

Roger: Could you give an example? I only ask because I haven't encountered any feasibility messages that didn't make sense. (Note: Every date in my family file has a four digit year; back in 1998-99, I went through the file and made sure and entered all as four forward.)

Here is but one thread on this where Mark acknowledges that they know it happens, but don't know why…

I have all my years entered with 4 digits.

BTW, the Age calculation does not work when the person is still alive as if Reunion does not know which date we are. It does work perfectly for deceased people.

Where are you seeing incorrect ages? E.g., in the Family View?
