Does anyone know what or where this is? I get a list of relatives who appear to use this field preference but I can't see where it is marked on their family cards. *New [_Bat] is listed as a name on the Field preference list.

Thank you. I see that it does include a whole set of people from one Gedcom, but I don't see what relates them yet. I'll keep on it.Comment

Possibly the person who created the GEDCOM that you imported had used that field as a way of flagging all the people whom THEY added when importing some other GEDCOM? I.e., marking the "new batch" of people.
If you turn on the preference to show that field, what data shows up in it? If it is blank, this may be the way that flags in the source software get exported to GEDCOM.My Home Page: http://tpettit.best.vwh.net/Comment
