unclear on how to set up sensitive data

I'm about to generate a gedcom but I don't want to include babies of some relatives that died at birth. According to the manual, I can select "sensitive" in the child status, but that's not an option on the pulldown menu. How can I only include the children who survived and exclude the stillbirths?

    Thanks!

To mark a child status as sensitive, in the family view, click the drop down triangle to the right of the childs name. Then select child status from the list. This will open up a list showing None, Adopted, Adopted Twin etc. Select the bottom option - Child Status Preferences...

This then opens up a list of choices, and you can put a tick next to any status that you want treated as sensitive.

Alternatively you can get to the same dialog box by clicking Reunion>Preferences>Child Status in the menu bar.

        Hi, Steve,

Thanks for the reply. My problem is that when I click on the status, the list that pops up does not include Preferences. I tried the second way you suggested and added a new status label "Sensitive" but when I go back to the pull-down list in the batch entry view, the new status doesn't show up. I'm using version 10.0.3 - maybe I missed an update?
        Thanks for your help!

The Child Status Preferences are not available via the Children tab in the Edit Family screen (AKA the batch entry view) -- you either need to CTRL+Click on a child in the Family View, or go to:

Reunion -> Preferences... , Child Status

          I'm using version 10.0.3
          The latest version is 10.0.6.

            Hi, Mark,

I did try going to Reunion > Preferences > Child Status and I was able to set up a new label called "Sensitive," but then I was unable to apply it.

            Thanks for your help!

You don't need to set up a new label called sensitive - you just mark an existing status as sensitive by ticking the box to the right of it
