    Duplicating Sources

    I am new to Reunion and have imported my data from RootsMagic via a GEDCOM file. So that means I

    Yes. On the lower left sidebar, click on Sources and the Sources list appears in the RH sidebar. At the bottom is a hammer icon, representing tools I guess.

    Click on a Source and then on the hammer and one of the options is Duplicate Source.

        Even easier is the shortcut key combination Command-D to duplicate the selected Source. I use this a lot.

          Howard, can you please explain how you use Command -D to duplicate a source? I think I'm typing far too much with my sources and there ought to be a quicker way of entering these.

          At the moment, each time I want to create a new source, say for the same type of record, say a Vital Record recording a Marriage Certificate, I type out each of my half a dozen or so fields.

          it sounds as if there are much quicker ways of doing this.....?

            Cancel that - I think I've worked out how you do that. Just hit Command - D, and change only what needs to be changed but keep the common typing and hey presto, a new source with less typing. :-)
