I'm sorry for all the questions.... but could someone please explain what these codes mean in the Field Preferences box? I have attached the info for 'Employment'. I can see that they determine how the report is written but what do these codes mean?

There are no codes in the New (MILT) event and I'm not sure what codes to add.

Are you referring to emp emp epm ?

EMPloyment, EMployment Place, EmPloyment Memo

As far as I know, these are the abbreviations that Reunion will use wherever it want to use abbreviations for these facts - e.g. in the Family View. You can change them to anything that suits you. If no abbreviations exist for any particular fact then you can create one by typing i these boxes.

Ok I think I understand. Looking deeper into this I now realise I can change the way the event is written in the report as well, i.e. 'name, age, verb' etc

Lot more to this than I realised.

Are there any examples of how different reports have been written? As to the language used?
