    Privacy filter question...

Hi-I exported a gedcom to a website (Tribal Pages) and am using Privacy Filter. Upon looking at the uploaded gedcom I noticed that some of the living people with no birth or death dates are showing their names and the ones I noticed are indeed living. I would prefer them to be labeled as Living. How do I do that? Thank you! Judy

    Re: Privacy filter question...

    Here's one way. Four steps:
    (1) Go to Reunion Preferences > Fields, select the Flags tab, and then add a new flag called 'Private' (if it does not already exist in the list of person flags).
    (2) Go to Reunion Preferences > Privacy & Sensitivity > Privacy and check the box for 'People with this flag checked: Private'. You should now have both that box AND the box for 'People with no death date and born after: nnnn' checked.
    (3) Then for each person you want to be excluded but is not meeting the birthdate/deathdate test, set his/her 'Private' flag. This will catch the "strays". (You may also want to add Flags to your family view so you can see this at a glance.)
    (4) Now create the Gedcom export, checking the box 'Use privacy filtering'.
