I won't give you the boring details but I am starting all over again. I have nice printouts of all my info and with only 132 people starting again is not too daunting. I have a few questions for you helpful people before I enter more than skeletal information.
1) I'm thinking I'll use free-form for all my sources as that seems the best way to implement Elizabeth Shown Mills' guidelines in Evidence Explained. Do other people do that? Are the Reunion templates for sources a better idea?
2) Do most people use Events to enter Census data? Do some of you enter all the census data in notes instead? I'm fortunate to have lots of city directory info as well and so plan to use Events for Census and Residence.
3) why would I use Smart Lists instead? I just cannot figure out what they are for.
