    Dragging to clipboard

I have been having a problem dragging people to the clipboard both to the sidebar listing on the lower left: clipboard and, when the Clipboard is showing, to the right.

This is fairly recent; I used to do "drag to the clipboard" without a problem.

Could something have changed in my setup? I can't see anything in preferences that would affect this.

They say that you learn something every day. I usually seem to be a few weeks behind.

I have found that if I removed a couple people of the 500 in my clipboard that I can once again drag someone into the clipboard.

If the Clipboard really does have a limit of 500 then I have learned something.

I am curious about why it has a limit that seems low considering how many people one could have in a family file.

I could find no reference to a limit in the manual. It would be a helpful addition.

    Regards

One wonders why there would be 500 persons in your clipboard. Like the Trash on the Mac, it needs to be emptied.

When you reach about 511 people/links in the Clipboard, you won't be able to add anymore people/links to it.

Keep in mind the Clipboard is intended to be a way to move entries around the Family File, it's not meant as a place to store entries or links to entries. If you want to store links to entries for quick access, you should use the Bookmarks sidebar or the Quickbar.

Agreed - The clipboard is not a place to store items, but in my opinion a simple way to correct errors such as duplication, wrongly attached people, etc.
